If you can't to resolve a dispute with a person or a business, you may take your problem to magistrate court.Magistrate court, also called small claims court, is an informal court that handles money claims of less than $15,000.
I was awarded a judgment of $1330 plus an additional $171.00 in court fees totaling $1501.00. The judgment debtor has ignored every attempt made to settle the judgment. Including a non-appearance for a motion hearing this past January where an additional $322.00 in fees were incurred. I have served the judgment debtor with a Post Judgment Interrogatories which again has been ignored. The Judge has informed me to submit a motion to compel along with a Judicial Order. I have done both of these but living in the state of Washington my legal advisor is unclear what the judge requires. I am looking to retain legal counsel to draft the legal paperwork and to aid in enforcing the collection from the judgment debtor not limited to or including Writ of Garnishment & Liens against property.More.
